World Oceans Day 8 June 2022 The Revitalization: Collective Action for the Ocean
World Oceans Day is an international day which falls on June 8 every year. The concept was originally conceived in 1992 at the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, by the Canadian International Ocean Development Center and the Canadian Ocean Institute.
Why do we celebrate World Oceans Day on 8 June?
The purpose of the ‘World Oceans Day’ is to educate the public about the impact of human actions on the oceans, to build a global citizen movement for the oceans, and to mobilize and unite the world’s population in a project for sustainable management of the world’s oceans.

What is the theme of World Oceans Day 2022?
The theme for World Oceans Day 2022 is Revitalization: Collective Action for the Ocean: “It sheds light on the community and the ideas, solutions and solutions that are working together to sustain and revitalize the ocean.”

Arctic,
North Atlantic,
South Atlantic,
North Pacific,
South Pacific,
Indian,
and Southern oceans
